Opening to the World-On the Way to the Renewal The aim of the Kerék Primary and Grammar School is to educate students with versatile, informed and compatible knowledge during their school studies. Their teachers are on their way to becoming partners. For this, school renewal and continuous training of teachers are essential. The aim of the project The project focuses primarily on the development of language and mathematical competencies and the updating of methodological knowledge of teachers by participating in foreign mobility, so that by retaining the traditions of the school so far, it can renew, modernize, adapt to the preservation of our national values to the culture, traditions and values of other nations. Participants return from the courses with advanced and diverse knowledge, methodological knowledge and mental freshness in mathematics, foreign language, digital technology, drama theory, and physical education, not only by themselves and by their students, but by sharing knowledge in other fields and institutions. working with their colleagues. Our students can also learn to pursue continuous self-education and development through the example of their teachers. We also consider it important to reduce drop-out rates and prevent career abandonment. Participants and their background Participants underwent a very serious selection process: our decision was not only based upon their language competence, but also on their professional qualities, the quality of their work for the school and the students so far. The professional and methodological development of the six selected teachers and their participation in the mobility of the school according to the pedagogical objectives of the school, the strategic goals of the school and our endeavor to renew, are in perfect harmony with our short and long term plans. Schedule of the project The participants of the project were selected after serious preparatory work and careful consideration. The courses were searched for according to the school’s goals, which the participants can tune into with a longer preparation phase / information gathering, language development, conscious mapping of our national values, mental and psychic preparation. In addition to targeted competence development, we will focus on building future international and cross-border Hungarian relations, establishing partnerships and cooperative relationships. After the return, the results and the direct and the indirect effects of the project are analyzed by self-assessment, reports, knowledge sharing with metrics and impact assessment. The success of the project is determined by completing the whole process, based on complex analysis. Results The effectiveness of the project is determined after a combined analysis of measurable and less measurable components. Mobility is successful if the figures in our viewpoints show a significant improvement, or if there is a positive shift in less measurable areas. An important aspect is the measurable development of mathematical, linguistic knowledge, the decline in the number of early school leavers and students, the institutional application of new methodological strategies, the expansion of our international relations and the establishment of diverse ways of communicating, but the success of the school includes the perception of the school, the atmosphere, the number of candidates. Impact of the project We have been thinking about the short and long term effects of the project, and this is not the case with the project evaluation. In the short term, besides the expansion of linguistic knowledge, mathematical knowledge and methodological tools, we expect the participants to experience intercultural communication and to gain a better understanding of European culture. This has a positive effect on the attitude, knowledge development and motivation of both the teachers of the institution and the students, but also helps to formulate new goals. In the long term, we have aimed to develop an intense linguistic development, to change the methodology of mathematics education at the institutional level, to integrate English into other subjects, to dynamically develop our partner network, and to make our teachers interested, a key to further development, a milestone in the process into which the school has determinedly embarked. and which is also a guarantee of our future, and which is supported by the entire faculty and the management of the school with full breast width.
